rimb trip to malysia

What shall I start?


Last week end of the June Holiday, RIMB went to Malaysia's Band Competition Finals as guest band at Petrajaya International Convention Center.






3000 seats very big and new convention center.



5 finalist bands played 1 Malay music(no set piece) and choice piece.

most of the band played well. Very energetic, loud, enjoyable performance...for audience.



There were something very different from band competition in Singapore.



There were 6 cameras shooting performers from every directions and showed on the super sized screen on the stage. I saw Giant sized my face in the full of the screen when I conducted.. ;' - '



Organiser prepared many party spot light and smoke and showed up throughout the competition... \' - '/



There were 4bass drums, 5 snare drums, 3 glockenspiels and many cymbals on the stage...... \*o*/ because, all the schools wanted to use their own percussion instruments.



We stayed one of the school's bording house.

First step to the room.....

" oh, No air-con...." never mind, we got cieling fan.

"oh, No heater for shower...." never mind, we got water.

"oh, No paper in the toilet...." never mind, we got water..... <+_+;
